Paul Norris, Chief Executive
Masters graduate in Law and Barrister. Paul started his career with MWP Incentives Limited, then spent a period in merchant banking before joining the buy-in team that created MM & K in 1985. He advises a number of remuneration committees on business-linked remuneration strategies and is experienced in the design and implementation of cash and share based incentive plans.
Nigel Mills, Director
PPE graduate and chartered accountant. Nigel joined MM & K in 1985 having spent 6 years at Price Waterhouse after graduating from Oxford. He is an authority on executive and all employee cash and equity based incentive schemes for public and private companies. He also leads the Private Equity business of MM & K and is an expert on carried interest and co-investment plans for Private Equity houses.
Cliff Weight, Director
Graduate in Mathematics and Statistics from Cambridge. Cliff has over 20 years' experience as a remuneration consultant. He was a Director of Independent Remuneration Solutions, who merged with MM & K in November 2006. He specialises in advising companies on executive directors’ remuneration, annual and long term incentives and non-executive directors’ fees. He is a regular speaker at conferences and is co-author of Tottel’s Corporate Governance Handbook.
Damien Knight, Principal
Physics graduate. After a period in construction management, Damien has followed a career in human resources and remuneration consulting, spanning 30 years. Damien was a director of the Hay group where he worked for over 20 years and most recently Damien was Senior Consultant with Watson Wyatt. For the past 15 years he has specialised in executive remuneration and has advised the remuneration committees and management of a wide range of companies in the UK and elsewhere in Europe, including several FTSE 100 and other major corporations.
David Henderson, Non Executive Director
David has been Chairman of Kleinwort Benson Private Banking since November 2004. David began his career specialising in personal tax and UK trusts. He subsequently spent ten years (1974-1984) as a banker at Morgan Grenfell and, following that, eleven years in financial services executive recruitment with Russell Reynolds Associates before joining the Board of Kleinwort Benson Group plc as Personnel Director in 1995. He was appointed Chief Executive of its private banking business in June 1997. David is also a non-executive director of Novae Group Plc, Price Forbes & Partners Ltd and Camp Hopson & Co.
Allan Johnston , Non Executive Director
MA and Chartered Fellow of CIPD. Allan was an Executive Director of Corus Group plc with responsibility for HR and some of the devolved businesses of the company until he retired from them in 2005. He is Chairman of UK Steel Enterprise Limited and Chairman of the Trustees of the £9.8Bn British Steel Pension Scheme. He is a Councillor of the City and Guilds of London Institute. Specialist in all areas of HR with particular expertise in change management.
Mike Landon, Executive Compensation Director
BA in Economics & Politics and MBA from London Business School. Mike has more than 20 years of experience as a remuneration consultant and over this period has been at the forefront in developing innovative share and cash-based incentive arrangements for executives and employees generally. This has included assisting with the design and implementation of all types of tax-favoured “approved” share plans, executive and “phantom” plans, as well as extending share plans around the world. Mike plays an active role in ifs ProShare and the Global Equity Organization. He previously worked for Mercer, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Watson Wyatt.
Ian Murphie, Share Plans Director
Law graduate and Barrister. Ian left independent legal practice in 2000 and has since then specialised in advising both quoted and unquoted companies on the design and implementation of employee share schemes. With experience gained initially as head of legal services at a specialist set of share scheme advisors, and then as share scheme manager and director at two top 10 audit and accountancy firms, Ian joined MM&K in 2009 on its acquisition of Ian’s share scheme consultancy, SharePlanSolutions. Ian now heads the share plan design and administration teams within the group.
Andrew Manktellow, Senior Consultant
Masters graduate in Advanced Manufacturing Systems. Andy has more than ten years consulting experience specialising in pay, benefits and specialist surveys in a variety of sectors both in the UK and internationally. He joined MM & K in 2007 and works on a wide variety of different types of projects.
Alison Hughes, Managing Director, higher talent
Graduate and Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Alison has over ten years experience in HR consulting, spanning specialist areas such as reward, performance management and recruitment. She started her consulting career at MM & K and has recently rejoined the group to lead MM & K's new recruitment business.
Robert Jarvis, Senior Consultant
Masters graduate (HR Management) and Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development. Rob has ten years experience in all aspects of HR Management in both the retail sector and the public sector. He has been actively involved in a number of change management projects and implementation of new working arrangements. Rob joined MM & K in September 2007 as a member of the HR Business Partner business line and he will also support the new MM & K recruitment business line in 2008.
Joanne Fegan, Consultant
Member of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants. Jo specialises in financial management, compliance issues, financial modelling, linking pay to performance and market practice studies. Jo is also
MM & K’s Accountant and Compliance Officer.
Natalie Ansell, Recruitment Assistant
Experienced researcher and administrator. Natalie joined MM & K in 2003 as a Clerical Assistant and has been promoted into more responsible roles during her tenure. She has undertaken project work and has provided research and administrative support to the other consulting staff. Natalie is part of the team running MM & K’s new recruitment business higher talent.
Lisa O’Connell, Senior Client Manager, TSOC
Law graduate. Lisa joined MM & K in August 2010 and has over 15 years’ experience of employee share plans. She first encountered share plans whilst working in-house as Company Secretary. From there she joined myShares, part of the Capita Group, moving then to Transcentive and Computershare. Most recently she was Managing Director of Halliwell Integra, the share plan management arm of Halliwell Consulting. Lisa has extensive knowledge of the practical , legal and regulatory aspects of share plan management both in the UK and overseas.
Tom Giles, Client Manager, TSOC
Tom joined MM & K (The Share Option Centre) in April 2007, prior to which he worked for nearly three years for Capita in their executive share plan management and administration division. He has gained significant experience of outsourced administration of share plans for a wide variety of clients across different sectors, in both quoted and unquoted companies. He also provides consultancy support on a per diem basis to a number of clients.
Giuseppina Pucino, Share Schemes Administrator, TSOC
Giuseppina graduated with a degree in Law & Spanish from University of Hertfordshire. Giuse joined MM & K (The Share option Centre) in June 2009. Prior to joining MM&K, Giuse worked for Halliwell Integra (the share plan administration business of the consulting firm called Halliwell Consulting) for just over 3 years as their all employee share plan manager. During her time there she has gained extensive knowledge and experience in SIP administration and implementation. She is well versed in the processes for outsourcing share scheme administration and was able to manage a variety of clients in this area.
Alex Goodrich, Executive Assistant
Alex joined MM & K in 2008 and provides administrative support to the directors and consultants in the preparation of all types of documentation. He is also actively involved with the maintenance of the MM & K website.
